Call for 2017 seminar candidates!

Haarlem, January 30th, 2017

Dear alumni of the Frans Seda Foundation,

The need for balanced, non-discriminatory and respectful national and international relationships have become more important than ever. There is a fierce urgency for social justice and dialogue is an important means to achieve this.

This year, the annual seminar will take place between 22-29 July in Yogyakarta. The seminar consists of a six –day program filled with inspiring sessions, constructive dialogues and social activities. As you know, the success of the seminar strongly depends on the drive and idealism of the participants but also on the involvement of the alumni. We therefore depend on you, alumni, to nominate candidates!

We kindly ask you to send concise and complete curriculum vitae of young leaders whom you like to nominate for this year’s seminar. Your nominees need to be Indonesian or Dutch nationals (male or female) between 28 and 39 years, who have proven to be committed to positive social action in order to build a more equitable and fairer world. More specifically, your nominees need to be interested in enhancing the dialogue between Indonesian and Dutch participants, building bridges between the two countries.

Please send their curriculum vitae to info@franssedafoundation.com before 20 February 2017. Selected candidates will be notified before 15 March 2017. A compulsory introduction meeting will take place in Jakarta for the Indonesian participants  on 08 April 2017 and in Amsterdam for the Dutch participants on 22 April 2017.

Later in the year we want to organise a get together with all the Dutch alumni, both from the seminars as from the scholarship program. We will inform you on due notice.

Thank you for your contribution and we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

With warm regards,

Dolf Huijgers
